Privacy Policy

Obelisk ("we", "us", "our") is an IPTV media player application for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

By using Obelisk, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

IPTV Credentials. Your IPTV server URL, username, password, and M3U playlist URLs are stored exclusively on your device using the Apple Keychain. They are never transmitted to our servers.

Watch History. Obelisk maintains a local watch history (last 20 channels) stored in your device's UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

Usage Analytics (optional). We do not collect analytics by default. If you opt in to analytics in a future version, you will be informed and given the choice to opt out.

Advertising Data. Obelisk uses Google AdMob as a third-party partner to display advertisements in the free version. We and our third-party partners collect Device Identifiers and Coarse Location to provide relevant advertising and app analytics. You may manage these preferences via Apple's tracking settings.

When you use the QR Connect feature to set up Apple TV, a temporary pairing session is created on our servers. Here is exactly what happens:

1. Your Apple TV generates a random 8-character pairing code and registers it with our server. No personal information is sent.

2. You scan the QR code on your phone and enter your IPTV credentials in a web form. These credentials are transmitted over HTTPS directly to the pairing session.

3. Your Apple TV retrieves the credentials from the session over HTTPS. The session is then immediately and permanently deleted from our servers.

4. Sessions automatically expire after 10 minutes if not used.

We do not log, store, or process your IPTV credentials beyond the duration of the pairing session. We have no access to your IPTV account.

Obelisk's free tier is supported by advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data including your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, and coarse location for ad personalization, subject to your consent.

Before serving ads, Obelisk presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form. You can opt-out by declining consent in the prompt, or by changing your preferences in your device's System Settings under Privacy > Tracking (or using the "Limit Ad Tracking" feature on older iOS versions).

Premium users see no ads and no advertising data is collected for them.

Premium purchases are processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not handle or store any payment information. Purchase records are verified using Apple's StoreKit framework and stored locally on your device.

Obelisk integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob — advertising (non-Premium, subject to consent)
• Google User Messaging Platform — GDPR/CCPA consent management
• Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases and subscription management
• Apple Keychain — secure local credential storage

Your IPTV provider may have its own privacy policy that governs the streams you access. We have no control over or responsibility for third-party IPTV services.

• Obelisk does not provide any content or M3U playlists.
• Users are responsible for the legality of the content they stream.
• We do not store or see the user's specific playlist URLs.

Obelisk is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect any information processed through our services. The QR Connect pairing session uses HTTPS encryption and auto-deletes after use. Your credentials are stored using Apple's Keychain Services, which uses AES-256 encryption.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. Since we store almost no personal information on our servers (credentials are local-only), most data can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Obelisk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
